OUTSET ISRAEL

Outset Israel was founded in September 2008 by Candida Gertler and Vered Gadish. It is a philanthropic platform dedicated to the funding and promotion of Israeli contemporary art projects destined for eventual donation to leading public

 



collections and museums in Israel and beyond. Since its inception at Art TLV 08, Outset Israel and its patrons have sought to engage international art professionals with the growing talent pool of Israeli artists. The organization conducts research trips to

 



Israel for international curators as well as taking Israeli curators abroad. Outset Israel also holds public lectures and events, bringing leading art figures to Israel.

Patrons

The patrons of Outset Israel are a committed group of contemporary art supporters seeking a deeper engagement with artists and institutuions.

Since the organization's inception they have enabled a range of projects including education and exhibition programmes, performances, productions and acquisitions. Patrons are invited to attend a programme of events that includes curator-led tours of museum exhibitions, talks and discussions with leading art professionals as well as national and international trips. 

Associates

In 2010 Outset Israel founded 'Outset Associates', aimed at young professionals, offering them an introduction to the international art world. The support of the Associates is directed towards all Outset Israel projects.

Associates are invited to attend a programme of events that includes curator-led tours of museum exhibitions, talks and discussions with leading art professionals as well as national trips. 

 

 

VERED GADISH
Director Outset Israel 

Vered Gadish founded Outset Israel in September 2008 tofgether with candida Gertler. Vered was previously the curator of the Doron Sebbag Art Collection, ORS Ltd. She has previously worked at the Museum of Modern Art and Guggenheim Museum, New York and the Tel Aviv Brach of Christie's. Vered has a masters degree in Art Management from New York University and a BA in Arts History from Tel Aviv University. Currently she works as a consultant with International and Israeli private collectors and is involved in Art Partners, a corporate art fund investing in international contemporary art.

 

NITZAN WOLANSKI
Programme Director

Nitzan Wolanski joined Outset in November 2011. She holds a BA in Literature and The Multidisciplinary Program in the Arts from Tel Aviv University, and she studied at the Seminar for Visual Culture, Criticism and Theory at Camara Obscura School of Art, Tel Aviv. Nitzan is currently the Director of International Relations at Fresh Paint Contemporary Art Fair, Tel Aviv, where she has worked since 2008. She has previously worked at Studio, contemporary art magazine as a production manger.
