Since 2009, Outset has hosted, in collaboration with Intelligence Squared Asia, debates during the HK International Art Fair. Past debates have included ‘Finders, Not Keepers! Cultural Treasures Belong in Their Country of Origin’, ‘You Don't Need Great Skill to be a Great Artist’,

and ‘Art Must be Beautiful’ with speakers including Tim Marlow, Antony Gormley, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Sarah Thornton and Simon de Pury. Intelligences Squared Asisa was founded by Outset co-director Yana Peel and Ajelie von Wedel.
